Signing up, listing, and searching are free. A customer is never charged. A handyman pays $4.99 per introduction (paid by the handyman) only to unlock a customer's contact for one job. Operated by GCExperts LLC. We do not run background checks and we do not verify licenses or insurance; customers must check a handyman for themselves.

How The Handyman Austin works

How it works

  1. Sign up free

Customers and handymen both create a free account. No card needed to join or search.

  2. Search or be found

Customers search by trade and area. Handymen keep their private contact details hidden.

  3. Unlock the introduction

A customer can post a job for free. A handyman browses jobs free and pays $4.99 per introduction (paid by the handyman) only to unlock that customer's contact details. The customer is never charged.

No background checks. We do not verify, screen, or check anyone — no licenses, insurance, permits, background, or identity. Customers must independently verify a handyman before hiring, especially for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work. See the Ratings & Reviews Policy and the Terms of Service.

Frequently asked questions

Who runs this website?

The Handyman Austin is operated by GCExperts LLC (GCEXPERTS LLC), which operates a marketplace and does not perform handyman or construction work.

How do I reset my password?

Use the “Forgot your password?” link on the login page. We will email a single-use reset link that expires in 60 minutes.

How do I cancel, and can I get a refund?

You can stop at any time at no cost. A customer can close a posted job for free before any handyman unlocks it, and a handyman simply chooses not to unlock a job; the customer is never charged. After a contact is revealed the introduction is complete and the $4.99 fee is earned, so it is not refundable except for a proven no-show or a delivery failure. The binding cancellation and refund terms are in the Terms of Service, section 7 (Cancellation) and section 6 (the Introduction Fee and refunds).

How is my data handled?
